The Old Mill

I have recently bought this painting on the internet, and it is just back from being framed and looking very nice indeed. I think it is quite a pretty watercolour, signed "MEH 1871". The mill itself appears to be almost Wealden in appearance, but the mountains behind suggest a Cumbrian or even Cambrian location. Is this a made-up picture? Or can the location be identified? I have no idea who "MEH" might be either. Do please let me know if it rings any bells!
